 In 2005, Way Station and the Turning Point of Washington County, another affiliate program of the Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Health Foundation, were consolidated in an effort to position both organizations to grow and thrive. The consolidation of these two strong affiliates has resulted in dynamic synergism that will ultimately benefit the clients, employees, and communities of both organizations.

Turning Point of Washington County was established in 1979 and originated as a drop-in center for Washington County residents with mental illness. Since that time, Turning Point has demonstrated a commitment to providing high quality mental health services and its skilled and caring staff have dedicated themselves to helping individual with mental illness improve their health, attain skills, and gain access to the supports necessary to lead independent and meaningful lives in the community.
